Project Overview
LUPE builds stronger, healthier communities where colonia residents use the power of civic engagement for social change. LUPE’s strength derives from their 8,000+ members throughout the Rio Grande Valley responding to the needs of the community, and taking action to create a chance for a better life.
I consulted as LUPE’s Graphic/Web Designer and created the creative direction for the design work in their fundraising Gala event “Somos Mas Fuerte del Miedo” (We are stronger than fear). During a conversation with one of LUPE’s strategist’s we discussed creating something that felt elegant (like the lovely event they would be hosting) but with a strong, motivating, and hopeful message given the current political climate at the time. It was a challenge for sure, but I'm confident this design does both.
